To recover your account with a registered email address, follow these 3 simple steps:

• Click on Login at the top right hand side of the RuneScape homepage, then Forgotten Password and enter your login details.

• When prompted, enter the registered email address and you will be sent an email with further instructions to recover your account. (check your junk/spam folders too)

• The final step is to go to your email, click the link in the email we’ve sent you and then follow the instructions to set your new password.

At this point you may do a little dance

If you have not registered an email address to your account, the only way to recover your account is by completing a manual account appeal form. This is not ideal as it can be time consuming which is why we provide you with the quick and easy email recovery option. Go on, add an email address, why walk when you can sprint!

If you decide to go with the manual process, here are the steps, unfortunately there are a few more than if you were using email recovery

• Click on Login at the top right hand side of the homepage, then Forgotten Password and enter your login details. Remember to use your login name, not your display name if you have set a different one!

• You will be asked for your email address so you will need to click the ‘next’ button, twice. From here, input information about the account where requested.

• Please try and provide the earliest information possible so we can quickly help return your account to you. Below are some examples of the types of information that best allow us to make our assessment:

o The first password set on the account.
o Early billing information such as a transaction ID (found in receipt emails).
o Contact information such as post code/zip code or email address from as early in the account’s history as you can remember.
o Creation details such as when the account was created, specifically where you were when you created it (region or state) and the Internet Service Provider you were using at the time.
